Convert HEIC to JPG Online Free

iPhones and iPads save photos as HEIC by default because it takes about half the space of JPG. The catch is that many Windows programs, older Android phones, online forms, and print shops still cannot open HEIC files, so a photo that looks fine on your phone suddenly shows up as an unknown file.

This converter turns HEIC photos into standard JPG files that open everywhere. Drop in a whole batch from your camera roll, choose the JPG quality, and download them one by one or as a ZIP. Each photo is turned the right way up, and location data is removed unless you choose to keep it.

The HEIC decoder runs inside your browser, so your personal photos never leave your device.

  • No sign-up or watermark
  • Processed in your browser
  • Batch convert to ZIP

Any format works here, not only HEIC. See all formats in the Image Converter.

One Converter for Every Image Format

Phones, cameras, websites, and design apps all use different image formats. Instead of a separate tool for every pair, ToolCube converts any supported format to any other in one place: open an iPhone HEIC and save a JPG, turn a logo PNG into an ICO favicon, or shrink a large PNG into a WebP for your website.

Fast and Safe on Your Own Device

The conversion runs in a background process inside your browser, so the page stays responsive even with large photos and long batches. Decoders for formats such as HEIC, AVIF, and TIFF load only when you need them, and nothing is ever sent to a server.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Answers to common questions about converting HEIC to JPG.

Why does my iPhone save photos as HEIC?

Since iOS 11, the iPhone camera uses the High Efficiency format (HEIC) to save storage. A HEIC photo is usually about half the size of the same photo as JPG, with similar quality. You can change this in Settings › Camera › Formats, but converting existing photos is often easier.

Will my photos lose quality when converted to JPG?

At the default quality of 90, the difference is very hard to see. The JPG files will be larger than the HEIC originals, because JPG compression is less efficient. Lower the quality to around 80 if you need smaller files.

Can I convert Live Photos or burst photos?

The converter uses the main still image stored in the HEIC file. The video part of a Live Photo is a separate file and is not included.

Are my iPhone photos uploaded anywhere?

No. The photos are decoded and converted in your browser. Nothing is sent to a server, which matters for personal photos that may include your home location.
